what is a TCG?
A TCG, in real life, is a Trading Card Game. This is the same idea on the web, except you can earn cards through other ways than trading, ie. games, freebies, donations, etc. You try to collect all of the cards in one set, called mastering the set.
what is a trade log
A trade log is where you record when and why you receive a card. If you trade with someone, you could put something like this: "Jan 1: Traded Person my card for card". If you won a card in a game, you could put something like this: "Jan 2: Won card from game". Please keep a detailed log for this TCG. Thanks!
how do I earn cards?
There are lots of ways to earn cards here.
When you first join, you receive a starter pack which will contain 7 cards; 3 from your collecting set, 3 regular cards, 1 special card.
When you refer someone to this TCG, you receive 1 random card.
You can win lots of cards from the games as well as by entering contests. Most games have at least 1 card, and all contest entries receive 2 random cards.
You can also donate stuff for this TCG. Cards depend on what you donate.
You receive 2 random cards, 1 choice card, and a special card for your birthday (done at the end of the month).
You also receive cards for mastering a set and for leveling up.
levels
Levels are based on card worth. Levels are based on where you would be in an opera production (with a phantom...):
Audience Member (Level 1): 1 - 15 cards
Member of the Press (Level 2): 16 - 50 cards
Auditioner (Level 3): 51 - 100 cards
Ballet Teacher (Level 4): 101 - 150 cards
Chorus Member (Level 5): 151 - 225 cards
Singer (Level 6): 226 - 300 cards
Lead Role (Level 7): 301 - 400 cards
Prima Donna (Level 8): 401 - 525 cards
Owner of the Opera (Level 9): 525 - 700 cards
Phantom of the Opera (Level 10): 701+ cards
Special cards count as two cards for level purposes.
When you level up you receive two random cards and one choice card.
Please Note: You may NOT request special cards
how do I master a set?
When you have collected all of the cards in a set, you have mastered that set. When you do this, You will recieve:
Regular 10 card set: 2 randomc cards, 1 choice card
Regular 15 card set: 3 random cards, 2 choice cards
Special 15 card set: 4 random cards, 3 choice cards
Once Again: You may NOT request special cards as you're choice cards
Once you master a set, you cannot trade those cards.
How do you (the owner) earn cards?
Well it goes a little something like this: Liz doesn't play and Maidel can only play/recieve cards from games she don't man, but there are other ways in which she can recieve cards: she can take any freebies offered, as well as any cards mentioned in the updates. Each week, if she updates the games and/or update card sets, I will send her 1 choice card and 3 random cards. At the end of the month, She get's 2 choice cards, 5 random cards, 1 rose and 1 note. If you count the cards you can get from the games, you get way more that She does. =)
